For the second year Château d'Anglès has been partner of the some of the most prestigious horse race in France. You can see our white wine served on the first course of the menu. The other wine was Château Phélan Ségur 2000, Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel of Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux.

First cuts
It's euphoria at the estate, the harvest has begun!
Like very year, we're beginning with the marsanne, the the roussanne next week.
As the summer has been very dry, the grapes are very concentrated. It foreshadows a great vintage.
We'll know more about this in the coming weeks, after the fermentations. Stay tuned!

Another great reward
Several Grands Chefs run a food and wine matching competition in London. They select an apéritif, a first course, a main course and a dessert. But this year there was a wine that stayed out of the competition. So they've created the "Special Award" for it. It's Château d'Anglès - Terroir de La Clape white 2004, on a grilled turbot with tian provençal, by Eric Chavot, 2** Michelin. Enjoy!

This medal is rewarding the undiscontinued efforts Eric Fabre and his family are doing everyday to raise Château d'Anglès to the highest accolades.

British TV at Château d'Anglès
The new TV channel vinappris came to film a one hour long program about Château d'Anglès. Our estate will be featured in a prime time event broadcasted in the UK. You can see the presenter in the old Bourboulenc plot, the one that gives our whites their unique typicity and quality. Stay tuned to know the date the program will be aired!
Amelta d'Anglès
Amelta is the occitan (the language of the South of France) for Almond. It's also the name of the new wine of Château d'Anglès. Amelta d'Anglès is an easy to drink, smooth and fruity blend of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. It's a first step in discovering the wines of Château d'Anglès, an everyday wine with the quality and style of Château d'Anglès. You can try it contacting your retailer in the "Contacts" section or buying it online in our "Boutique" (delivery in France only).
Government Wishes
Château d'Anglès was served at the ceremony of "happy new year" of the Ministère de la Fonction Publique. French deputies tasted some of the best label from the South of their country, under supervision of our President as you see on the picture in the background!
New vines saying hello!
2 ha of Syrah are being planted to enlarge the assemblage (blend) of the reds in the next few years. Another 2 ha are forecasted for next year with different grape varieties. Château d'Anglès is keeping renovating the vineyard for the wines to get always better!
Meilleurs Vœux 2007
Quitterie is the second child of Eric and Christine. She is an engineer and enologist. She works in an important négociant company (winery) in the South of France. She also participates in the crafting of the wines of Château d'Anglès, at the moment of the assemblage (blending) of the different cépages (varieties).
And Quitterie also knows how to prune the rose bushes in the garden.
This year will be full of events. First, we are launching the vintage 2004 for the reds in the following days. Then, some surprises will be unveiled... Stay tuned!
