"Respect for the environment, an impressive winemaking heritage and the sheer quality of the wines
are the ‘driving forces’ behind the label" Neil Sommerfelt MW |
| "This Château fastidiously crafts some of the most expressive,
yet elegant, wines of any estate in the entire Languedoc." Jeroboams, Greater London Wine Merchant of the Year 2005 |
Starting pruning!
Stéphane has begun to prune the vineplants with Denis and David. They are responsible for preparing the vintage 2006, already! At Château d'Anglès, the pruning style is called "Cordon de Royat". It allows the grapes to be regularly dispatched on the two main bines, a garantee for good health and full maturation of the grapes. This is a young syrah vine that will be included in Coteaux du Languedoc red cuvée.
Launching of the new vintage 2003
Terroir de La Clape red and white 2003 and Coteaux du Languedoc 2003 are the next wines you will be able to taste; Coteaux du Languedoc white and rosé remaining 2004, of course. With this new vintage, we introduce a lifted label, clearly indicating the grape varieties, and a back label with a short introduction. Please download the Full Presentation [PDF | 6 Mb] for more information and pictures of the new bottles.

Harvest with a view on the sea
Thank you very much to everybody who contributed in making a wonderful vintage 2005. Click here to look at the photos...

Life everywhere, even on the massif de La Clape (heap of stones in occitan, local language)
Look at this little plant. It is located on top of the rock, I'd better say it is planted in the rock!
This picture was taken from the north part of the massif de La Clape, above the estate.
You can see the garrigue around, and the sea in the background...

Dry summer and great grapes
This year have been being very dry since last November. Dry winter, dry spring, and now dry summer.
But thanks to the proximity of the sea (2 km - 1.24 miles), the vines benefit from a lot of humidity every night and the days of sea wind. The grapes are beautiful, very well distributed on the vineplants, and are presaging a very fruity vintage.
Launching of new vintage 2004 Rosé!
With cherry and raspberry flavours, Château d'Anglès new 2004 rosé says welcome to spring and is ready to join your long summer nights!

Spring already at Château d'Anglès?
Flowering almond trees are announcing the end of winter. They are always the first to flower, as if they wanted to say to the vines, like an encouraging big brother: "Hey, wake up, there's life again after winter!".
